Logitech Gaming’s Facebook post asking consumers to let the brand know why they don’t own gaming peripherals shows that brands should take great consideration and care when structuring their community management posts. By directly framing their question towards a negative issue, Logitech led many consumers to provide critical feedback.
Logitech Gaming recently asked consumers on its Facebook page to ‘like’ a post if they owned a gaming peripheral. In this same post, Logitech also invited consumers who do not own a gaming keyboard, mouse or headset to respond to the brand and let them know why.
WaveMetrix social media analysis shows that Logitech’s post drove many consumers to complain, with users criticising Logitech’s “bad” products, which they say are “too expensive”. Whilst the post has received 200 likes and some users comment on what gaming peripherals they own, many of the replies contain negative discussion, showing that brands should take care when structuring their community management posts.
